In response to the growing demands of coworking spaces for enhanced security and operational efficiency, TPEX has successfully implemented the Eagle Eye Cloud Video Management System (VMS) across 11 locations. This transition, completed in under a month, equips coworking spaces with advanced video monitoring solutions that prioritize both privacy and productivity. By integrating AI-driven metadata analysis and reducing false positives, TPEX has revolutionized the management of coworking environments, offering a streamlined and cost-effective approach to security and building operations.

Challenge

The core challenges those co-working spaces face include:

  1. Security without Intrusion: Coworking spaces offer working environments shared by individuals and corporations, and must strike a delicate balance between maintaining robust security and ensuring the comfort and privacy of users. They need to monitor access, safeguard sensitive information, protect members, and adhere to local regulations — all without being intrusive.
  2. Operational Efficiency: Managing multiple locations, various workspace types, a diverse membership base, and a wide range of events demands operational efficiency. The right technology can simplify complex operations, streamline space management, and provide real-time insights for informed decision-making.

Solution & Implementation

The transition to Eagle Eye Cloud VMS was swift, taking less than a month, and covered more than 350 cameras across 11 different locations. This speed of this transition not only saved significant technician time but also enhanced control center efficiency.

Patrick Teunizen, Director of Building Intelligence Management at TPEX, highlights the importance of “cancellations of false positives” as a critical KPI for every building operation they oversee. Cancelling false positives applies to various aspects of building management, and can significantly improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

One standout feature of the Eagle Eye VMS is its ability to derive metadata from video with AI, and to seamlessly integrate that metadata with other building data, allowing for comprehensive analysis and proactive action.

Among the efficient Eagle Eye Networks tools that TPEX utilizes, Smart Video Search stands out. Operators can swiftly review overnight events, identifying relevant activities for building managers. Tasks that previously consumed hours now take only minutes — with greater accuracy and fewer false positives.

Company Overview

TPEX is a mission-driven service provider specializing in making buildings healthier, safer, more productive, and sustainable, while reducing costs and overhead. Several prominent Amsterdam-based coworking chains turned to TPEX in search of a solution to harmonize security and efficiency across multiple locations.

In the dynamic world of coworking and co-living spaces, where flexibility meets productivity, providing a secure and efficient environment for diverse clientele is paramount. Coworking spaces are versatile entities catering to an array of clients, each with distinct needs. These spaces must maintain a consistent level of service and security while fostering a sense of community.

To meet these needs, TPEX offers a Control Room that oversees all aspects of a building platform. Before adopting the Eagle Eye Cloud Video Management System (VMS), TPEX used an on-premise VMS, requiring secure VPN connections and in-house IT and tech teams for maintenance and integration
